According to "Can smartphones replace house keys?" in the Week magazine on July 6, 2011, a new smart phone application allows you to lock and unlock your home through the internet. This application helps a lot of people who are always driving miles back home just because they forgot to lock their doors or inviting people over without leaving the coach. This new invention like any new modern tool has some advantages and disadvantages which will be explained.
Humans like the easy way of doing their daily activities. This app will help many people in many ways such as replacing key chains or at least some of them. Another advantage is that no more copying keys for friend or roommates, where everyone can have his own app version. Since this app works using the internet, it means it can be used even from far distance like letting the plumber in the house while staying in the office.
On the other hand, as any new invention, perfection might take time to be reached. Because this app is used by the internet, it is more likely that "internet nerds" can easly hack and reincrept passwords and codes and another issue is that any problem with the internet would cause a user to be locked out of his home. In addition, by using an electronic device electrical connection has to be present all the time.
As a summery, I think this will be a very great application in the future but not for the mean time. As a user I think I will not use it now, but i will wait until a newer and a better version appears.

Does Kids Need A Break from Homework's?
According to "'Homework revolt': Time to give kids a break?" article posted in the week magazine on June 16,2011, student are receiving a lot of homework's and for that they are not getting the right education. American students are getting more homework's and less sleep according to the article. In my opinion students can improve their performance by focusing on two things.
First, mixing entertainment with the education system. This is the Facebook and Youtube generation; statistics shows that people can concentrate for 10-15 minute during a lecture and this was 10 years ago. Nowadays people can be concentrating for only 7-8 minutes, this reduction happened after the internet was invented and the speed of knowledge exchange has increased. Therefore, it is important to adapt the technology and utilize it to its maximum.
Second point, knowing what kind of information are needed to be taught to the students. I have a great example to explain this point, Nikki Mattson a teacher at the IECP she is a model of how a great teacher should be. Nikki is pushing her student to make sure they are learning and getting the best knowledge during the semester, by utilizing many tools during her class. In some occasion she use Youtube to help us understand the reading passage, she make her student to use Blogger and provide them with feedback so they can improve their writing skills, and she try to help the students to expand their vocabulary by playing some games and solving some puzzles. Nikki knows that most of the student are applying for universities and so that they need to learn how to learn the academic English.
To summarize my two points, the education system should focus on the quality and not the quantity. students can do a lot of homework's only if they are enjoying it just like they are enjoying watching TV or playing with friends.

Do You Injoy Hookahs?
"Are hookah pipes more dangerous than cigarettes?" an article in the week magazine that takes about Hookahs health affect and explains how hookahs are much worse that cigarits. Hookah or Water Pips are one of the social traditions in the middle east. For many years smokers consider Hookah as a better alternative for cigarets, they switch to smoking hookahs as a step to quit smoking. Tow reasons that make poeple smoke hookah In my openion.
The predominant reason is that poeple think that hookah has less health affect that cigarets. This could be true only if the smoking time for both are that smae. Unfortnatly, the time consumed for smoking Hookah is much longer than smoking cigarette. Therefore, more nicotine are entering the body system.
Another reason, unlike cigarets, many flavors hookahs have like apple, watermelon, grape...etc, makes hookah more enjoyable. Especially when there is a pow wow with friends, no one will complain about the bad smell.

Mac world Beating PC world
Mac has been building their world starting from small devices. IPhones, IPads, and IPods have been catalysts in the Mac revolution. Ten years ago Mac was a name for poor products and was limited to users like photographers and designers. They started to change their image and invented several devices meet costomers needs. Apple's gadgets have become some of the top innovations around this world; they invent new divices and over time, these items become a "need" for people.
As a result of this process, Mac has became a name for trusted products that understands and helps their customers. Therefore, people have started to realize that innovations are connected to their computers as well. Nowaday’s Mac laptops and computers are utilized by many users. In addition PC's market share has dropped 1% unlike Mac laptops which has risen by 28% according to the last conference by Mac in San Francisco, on June 6, 2011.
What PC's need to change is the routine that people are trying to avoid; slight changes will not attract the consumers, especially when it can be found in the same market with a reasonable price.

Is it the time for women to drive in KSA?
In the last couple of weeks, women in Saudi Arabia are trying to take action to be able to drive cars. These actions have not been accepted completely by society and the government. Despite all the movements and resistance, the question is are they ready to handle driving in Saudi Arabia?
Low gas price in Saudi Arabia is one of the reasons that has caused a crowded driving environment. Men are devastated by the congestion on the roads and the time that they are spending in the car while they are heading to and from work. There are many steps that need to be taken before women can drive in Saudi Arabia, stating with education and finding solutions to fix traffic jams. Females should and will drive sooner or later, but in my opinion women have to be more patient about this issue.
